What terrain (trails, desert, MX, mixed)? How often (weekly, monthly, occasional)? Skill level (beginner, intermediate, expert)? Racing plans (current, future, never)?

Be honest. “Want to race” ≠ “actively racing.”

Current issues

What feels wrong (bottoming, harsh, vague)? What limitations (can’t go fast enough, gets beat up)? What failures (bent A-arms, blown shocks)?

Budget reality

Total budget available. Priority items (must-have vs nice-to-have). Timeline (need it by race season vs whenever).

Honesty = better recommendations.

Photos and videos help

If you can’t bring the ATV: photos from multiple angles, closeups of damage or wear, video of suspension cycling, measurements if possible.

Better than nothing — but not as good as in-person.

Consultation and assessment — Day 1

Physical inspection (measure geometry, check components, identify wear), discussion (riding style, terrain, goals, budget), problem diagnosis, initial recommendations and ballpark costs.

Duration: 1–2 hours. Cost: $150 (refundable or applied to work).

Detailed quote — 2–5 days

We research and prepare component selection (specific parts, vendors, pricing), custom fabrication scope, installation requirements, and timeline estimate.

Quote includes itemized parts, labor breakdown, total cost, timeline, and priority tiers (if budget limited).

Approval and deposit — your timeline

Review thoroughly, ask questions, modify scope if needed, decide proceed/decline. If proceeding: typically 50% deposit, work authorization signed, parts ordering begins.

Take the time you need — rush decisions lead to regrets.

Parts procurement — 2–8+ weeks

Stock items: 2–5 days. Special order: 2–4 weeks. Custom fabrication components: 4–8 weeks. We update you when parts arrive and flag any delays.

Fabrication — 1–4 weeks

Simple (A-arms): 1–2 weeks. Moderate (A-arms + chassis mods): 2–3 weeks. Complex (full custom chassis): 4–8 weeks. Cutting, bending, notching, TIG welding, fitment checks, finish work.

Assembly and installation — 3–7 days

Remove stock components, install custom fabrication and new parts, torque to spec, set up suspension (preload, sag, adjustments), safety check. Verify geometry (camber, caster, toe). Document settings.

Testing and refinement — 1–2 days

Shop test, test ride if possible, adjustments based on initial feedback. Then your test ride — report back, we tweak final settings, document for future reference.

Delivery and follow-up

Pick-up walk-through, setup sheet, maintenance guidance, break-in period. Final payment. Check-in after first few rides — adjustment availability for tweaks within reason. Relationship, not transaction.

“Can you just tell me over the phone what I need?”

Short answer: not reliably. Measurements are critical, visual inspection reveals hidden issues, wear patterns tell the actual use story, component condition affects recommendations.

Phone/email is fine for general guidance, ballpark pricing, and figuring out whether consultation makes sense. Not enough for specific recommendations or accurate quotes.

“What if I don’t like the recommendations?”

You’re not committed. Consultation is assessment, not commitment. Quote is invitation, not obligation. You can decline, modify scope, or think about it.

We’d rather an honest no than a regretful yes.

“Can I do some work myself?”

Often yes. We recommend which parts you can install, provide torque specs and setup guidance. Works well when you have skills and tools, we handle technical fabrication, and you handle bolt-on installation.

Doesn’t work when precision setup is required, specialized tools are needed, or warranty requires professional installation. We’ll be honest about what you can tackle vs what needs shop work.
